Club modules

Most members of the module group of the Twentse Model Railway Club have modules of their own. But some are so- called club modules. They are the special 'boxes', that are needed e.g. to make the connection with the normal fixed club layout, or to 'stear' the series of modules around a corner.

The club modules (beige) with in between the standard modules from members. The red line lijn indicates the course of the main track over the modules. On each module this course is basically free.

For these club modules I made a few pieces of that are presented on this page.

Allotment

Small railway bridge

Along the edge of the 180° module I laid out this allotment, complete with scarecrow. The greenhouse at the back is a 3D-print by colleague Pieter Hak.

On the X-module lies a small harbour. In order fr trains to cross the inlet I made this steel strussbridge glued together from loose polystyreen strips, with an abutment of cardboard with printed brick. Now that the track has been laid one can hardly see it anymore ;-). Ballast and grasses were done by Wouter Timpener.

Weir

Along the side of the 90° modules in the corner of the corridor is a ditch parallel with the track. But the waterlevel did not match with the adjoining module. So a weir was needed, just like in real life.

On the photo the weir - made of cardboard with a thin aluminium sluice blade - has just been put into place. So the riverbank still needs to be repaired.

Statue Europatunnel

For the club layout itself is this mini statue carved out of Forex (foamed pvc). It will be placed on the Europatunnel which - just like in reality - runs under our station Hengelo.
The model statue is about 3,5 cm high.

On the left the model of the statue (still unpainted) and on the right a photo of the real Europatunnel in Hengelo.
