Villa Kleiboer (interior)
Interior
The interior of the villa Kleiboer is almost exclusively made out of wood. Stirring rods for paint form the walls of the rooms. The layout of the various spaces was copied from the original drawings; only a shaft was added on all floors duct for the cables of the lighting.
Sadly there only one photo of the interior of the villa avaible on the internet. Also the function of most rooms in the house is unknown; they are only sparsely mentioned on the drawings. So most of the furnishing of the model is completely made up by us. Inspiration was taken from photographs of similar villa’s from that period on the internet.
All inner walls have wallpaper. The cupboards and other furniture along the walls have been printed onto this wallpaper.
We chose to decorate the villa in a way as it might have looked during the Ledeboer period. That was much more fun than dressing up rooms in a boarding house in the 1970's. Only the bedrooms got wallpapers in the typical motives and colours of the boarding house years.
And as a joke we hang our own portraits in the salon and biljarts room; see the image above.

All light fixtures in the villa are hand made from mini-LEDS.

Lighting
For the illuminations we used LEDS, controled by an Arduino. The LEDS are partially normal single mini-LEDS, partially combined SMD/RGB-LEDS, of which the colour can be digitally managed.
To determine the colour of the RGB-LEDS and the switching on and off of lights the German open source system MobaLedLib was used.
The prints that are needed to operate the normal LEDS are hidden in some of the beds in the bedrooms. This is why they turn out a bit bigger than normal.
Video of a small experiment with the MobaLedLib-system. The LEDS in all rooms light up one by one for 1 second.
